Basics & Frequently Asked Questions

This page answers the most common operational, technical and logistical questions about Pallet Elastic in professional warehouse environments.

Product & Material

Pallet Elastic is manufactured from natural rubber, sourced from Hevea brasiliensis trees grown on certified plantations in Sri Lanka.
Latex is harvested responsibly and in compliance with non-deforestation regulations, then vulcanised to obtain a high-performance elastic material suitable for repeated industrial and logistics use.

The use of certified plantations ensures:
Compliance with sustainability and QHSE requirements.
Traceability of raw materials.
Alignment with evolving EU regulations on responsible sourcing and deforestation-free supply chains.
Natural rubber offers a unique combination of mechanical and environmental benefits that are essential for safe, reusable load containment in logistics environments:
High return force after stretching, ensuring stable pallet securing.
Excellent memory shape, even after repeated cycles.
Superior resistance to fatigue under industrial conditions.
Long usable life, supporting reuse and waste reduction strategies.
Thanks to these properties, Pallet Elastic meets both operational performance needs and sustainability-driven objectives, making it a reliable solution for companies aiming to reduce packaging waste while maintaining high safety and QHSE standards.

Compatibility & Use

Pallet Elastic is designed for standard Euro pallets (120 × 80 cm).
It is also compatible with:
120 x 100 cm pallets
Smaller loads on standard pallets
Thanks to its elasticity, Pallet Elastic maintains load stability even when the pallet is not filled.
Yes. When working with light, consumer-type packaging, ensure even pressure distribution and place Pallet Elastic on the top edge of the carton, where the structure is most resistant.
For loads with sharp or abrasive surfaces, we recommend contacting us for an adapted solution.
Yes. Pallet Elastic remains functional in cold storage and refrigerated logistics environments.
Elastic performance may vary depending on temperature and exposure duration; however, the product is suitable for professional cold-chain applications.
For heavier or unstable loads, apply a second Pallet Elastic band.
This increases containment force while keeping handling fast and safe.

Durability & Lifecycle

In typical warehouse operations, Pallet Elastic can be reused between 20 and 50 cycles.
Actual lifespan depends on several operational factors:
Duration under tension (continuous vs short-term use).
UV Exposure (indoor or outdoor use).
Load weight and pallet geometry.
Handling conditions (removal, friction, sharp edges).
In many industrial environments, this corresponds to 1 year of operational use.
Replace Pallet Elastic when one or more of the following signs appear:
Visible cracks or surface wear due to UV and ozone exposure.
No longer retains its original length
At this stage, the elastic cannot guarantee safe load containment and should be replaced.
Permanent set refers to a gradual, irreversible lengthening of the elastic after repeated use or prolonged exposure to U.V. and Ozone:
U.V. and Ozone exposure
Both of them chemically react with natural rubber by oxidising the elastic bonds.
Repeated tension cycles/ Time in application
Will slowly break the elastic bonds
This phenomenon occurs because natural rubber is an elastomer. Each tension cycle slightly alters the internal molecular structure and over time, the elastic no longer returns to its original length.
Permanent Set is important because it is the main reason for a pallet elastic replacement, and is quickly and easily noticeable.

Recycling & End-Of-Life

Pallet Elastic is made from natural rubber and is recyclable.
You may:
Dispose of it via your local waste collector.
Return full boxes to dedicated recycling companies.
From local waste management to specialised recycling industries, Pallet Elastic can be given a second life.

Logistics & Supply

Standard Pallet Elastic quantities are shipped from our Belgian stock under standard European delivery conditions.
Lead times typically range from a few days to one week, depending on destination and volume.
Yes. For industrial projects, Pallet Elastic can be customised:
Specific colours
Markings or branding
Custom dimensions
These requests are handled as project-based orders.
In case of a quality concern, provide a sample of the elastic with the Box ID to our team.
This allows us to identify the production lot and ensure full traceability.

Additional Applications

No. Pallet Elastic is also used for:
Securing covers and protective covers
Holding protection parts on loads.
Ideal exercise band thanks to its high elasticity and suppleness.
Mover bands – Reusable securing bands for covers over furniture while relocation.
Its elastic containment principle adapts to many professional uses.
